Week 32 = 8 Mos!

Holy Cow! I'm 8 months along! How in the world did this happen?  Ok, so I know technically how it happened, but seriously so soon???

I spent a lovely 2 hours in the dentist chair last Friday.  Yay.  It so happens that when you are pregnant you get "special" anesthetics.  These special drugs don't last as long in your system, so they are supposedly safer. My first half of the mouth goes nice and quiet.  As she starts drilling on the my (the my???  wow.) 2nd half, I start to feel something.  Something not right and definitely not good.  I give the doc my best 'this hurts like crap' face and started motioning with my hands.  Lucky for me, she can read crazy woman (finally, somebody understands) in pain signals.  She was shocked to hear that I could feel the drill.  So, I get another round of shots.  Ah the joy.  She waited a few minutes to let the drugs kick in.  We were good to go.  NOT.  Apparently, not only do the drugs leave the system faster but I apparently have a very fast metabolism and (this) causes the drugs to disappear even quicker.  We eventually figured out how much I needed and how quick it needed to be done.  I did not want to have to come back again.  Finally done, and finally home.  JD had a fun time that evening making fun of everything I said.  Apparently, my lack of ability to control my face or mouth was very entertaining (VERY entertaining).  Glad I could make you laugh babe (thanks babe).

JD had a dentist appointment as well.  Lucky for him, his was a lot less interesting.  And soon he was back to his old (new) eating habits.

Enjoying another sweet snack.....
Since not too much happened this past week, I thought I would just add some photos for your viewing pleasure.

Week 30
Week 32
As you can see, CJ is growing every week. And so is my belly.  Speaking of my belly, my inny is no longer an inny....but, it's not an outty yet either.  It's just rather, well, flat.  But, I have a feeling that soon enough it will POP.  (FYI public bathrooms have great mirrors for taking belly pics!)

Week 31: 4 Naval Oranges, 3 am, 2 More Months, and a Pumpkin Pie in the Oven

(the above title to be sung to the tune of The 12 Days of Christmas)

Yes, I know it's not Christmas time just yet, but to my defense the stores already have their trees, lights, ornaments, and those huge blow up santas out (Not a spell check yet, but I found a 13 foot high inflatable Rudolph and I'm getting it!!!).  No, I'm not condoning it, I actually think it's pretty crazy (so this is what you replaced ridiculous with bc you couldn't spell it??) that we can't even enjoy Halloween or Thanksgiving before they start with the Christmas decor.  Ok, enough of that.

4 Naval Oranges - This is apparently how much CJ weighs this week.  I don't think I've ever held 4 naval oranges at one particular time, but that is supposed to equal about 3.3 lbs.  Not only is she gaining about half a pound a week, she should be measuring just over 16" long.  At the moment, I can definitely tell she's growing.  Now not only do I feel her in just one spot at one time, but I can feel her all over all the time.  And her favorite spot is the right side of my stomach, which makes my stomach look super lopsided!  Other than that, I had another prenatal appointment this past Tuesday and according to my doc everything is good to go and she has 'no complaints'.

3 am - Last night I believe gave JD and I a little taste of whats to come with having a newborn around.  Ok, maybe not, but I needed a 3 in my title.  So, anyways, thanks to a persistent car alarm and an unwilling car owner to check on their car, we got to sleep a bit and then we got to hear  the blaring alarm.  This didn't just happen once or twice, not even close.  We were asleep, we were awake, we were asleep, we were awake, ok, I'm guessing you get the point.  3 am until I'm not sure when, all I know is I was still awake when my alarm went off at 6:45 this morning.

2 More Months - EEK!! Only 2 more months from this weekend until D DAY!  We are still homeless, still dreaming of a house and a nursery and yard for the puppies, and all of our belongings that are in storage.  We joke that it is going to be like Christmas when we get all of our stuff out of the 2 huge storage units that are holding it.  We just hope it's really not Christmas when we get to get it all.

Pumpkin Pie in the Oven - ok, so not the most exciting thing, but the temps have been getting much cooler and with the cooler temps, I was craving a pumpkin pie (Interesting, from all your previous posts, I thought JD was the one with the sweet tooth.).  But since we are living the life as poor college students we don't have the kitchen utensils necessary to make a successful pie (This sentence is missing about 4 commas).  However, Marie Calender makes a wonderful pie, and I had to borrow her recipe from Krogers.  JD is just a fan as myself (I don't even know where to begin to correct that), but I think he likes the cool whip part the best, as he usually has little pumpkin pie with his cool whip.

Well, that pretty much sums up our week.  We are hoping for a little (HUGE) surprise for next week's post.  But, we don't want to ruin it if it doesn't work out.

Week 30 - 2 1/2 More Months!

So this past week has been relatively boring.  Sometimes boring is good, but it has just made the time creep by...oh so slowly.  JD and I both had dentist appointments last week.  And it just so happens I left the dentist office feeling like a little kid that spent too much time in the candy store.  I had 7 cavities!  SEVEN!  I couldn't believe it.  I have to go back this next week and get them taken care of.  And here I thought I had been doing really good in the dental hygiene area.

I did go fabric shopping last weekend.  Oh how I can't wait to have my hobby room in our new house.  I found some fun fabrics to make stuff for CJ.  Now, if I can just think of what to make.
maybe a fun pillow? or curtains?

yeah, I know it doesn't match my other colors, but I couldn't help it.
Not only has this week been boring, but it's also been JD free.  JD free means, I have to take both dogs out by myself, listen to myself talk, endure the silence, and of course sleep alone.  But he comes back tomorrow and so the silence will end!

In JD's absence I have had to find something else to occupy my time.  So, I started working out again.  Yeah, I know, starting the 3rd trimester probably isn't the best time to begin a work out regime.  But, hey, I was bored.  JD's just lucky I didn't organize his clothes, or as he calls it hide his stuff.  In effort to add some color into this blog, I thought I'd look for a funny cartoon of a pregnant woman working out.  Word to the wise, don't do a google image search for 'pregnant woman working out'.  Ok, now I know that some of you can't help yourself and will do it anyways. Don't say I didn't warn you.

So, that's pretty much it.  And since JD is MIA for this week's post, have fun making fun at all the prego typing mistakes I might have made.

Until next time....
